Description
Distribution operations are the last line between your products and your customers needs. In order to provide accurate inventory counts and visibility to your customers, business as usual is not keeping up with their expectations, and most likely, your competitors. It is becoming paramount to employ technology in your distribution operations to meet these expectations and also keep ahead of labor challenges by becoming more efficient.
Kohler Company has agreed to host UWEBC members to tour their state of the art distribution center and see how they have invested in the most current technologies. We will discuss and look at their centralized warehouse operations platform, the Opex Perfect Pick System providing a high-volume order/SKU picking and packing advantage and an advanced inventory control system. Kohler will show us how they are utilizing wearable technologies to ensure Kohler's daily order count is fulfilled with accuracy and speed to ensure customer satisfaction, which is paramount at this historic company and brand.
We will begin the day with a presentation from Kohler on their journey and where they are currently. The tour will be followed by lunch and a group discussion on the technology we witnessed and breakout sessions on best practices other UWEBC members are implementing in the areas of WMS, Inventory control, pick modules and wearable tech.
Space will be limited to 40 people.
