Description

This Executive Roundtable will serve as a virtual huddle for HR leaders from UWEBC member companies to have candid discussions about current and emerging HR issues and challenges. Participants can gain valuable insights and actionable ideas based on the experiences and approaches of other HR leaders.

This will be a highly interactive event and Doug Barton, UWEBC's Director, will facilitate the discussions. We will share discussion topics as they become available so please share your pressing issues in the registration questions. Participants will also have the opportunity to pose other topics and questions during the event.

Please join us for this virtual huddle and come prepared to share your questions, challenges and insights. Your perspective and experience would be very much valued by the group!

We have had some terrific topics suggested in advance and will get to as many as we can:

  • Discussion on evolving hybrid/flexible work setups and office requirements amidst building redesign (space reduction).
  • Approaches to hybrid/remote work by other organizations.
  • Exploring employee engagement and wellness indicators beyond Voice of Employee activities, such as Microsoft Viva Premium Insights or similar data.
  • The evolution of performance management and pay for performance philosophies.
  • Conducting engagement surveys and exploring 4-day work weeks as potential options.
  • Centralization of ER investigations and policy questions.
  • Discussion on who drives career development (employee, HR, or manager) and the effectiveness of role rotations in building future leaders.
  • Thoughts on 2023 merit increases and strategies for economic downturns, including contingency plans to mitigate harsh employment decisions.
  • Successful corporate well-being programs and DEI strategies, including ERG creation and the use of AI within HR.
