Description

According to a recent Gartner study, employees' skill needs are growing by 10% each year, and one third of the skills used three years ago are now irrelevant.

Skills have become "the new talent currency", and organizations of all sizes (across all industries) are needing to improve and enrich the skills of their workforce to keep up with the rapid pace of change.

Join us to learn from the experiences of others and share your experiences with your peers! Together, we will explore:

  • Upskilling beyond the classroom: the 70-20-10 Model for Learning & Development
  • How to determine what skills are needed for the future, and which skills other companies are prioritizing
  • The role of leaders, mentors and coaches in individual team member development
  • Embedding upskilling activities in both cost-constrained and time-constrained environments
  • Connecting the "people" part of upskilling to process and technology growth

We will hear from Suzanne Sherry at human capital consulting firm, excellerate3, Jen Palzkill at member company Lands' End, and James Altwies at member company Exact Sciences. We will also learn from each other in interactive breakout groups.

Participate in Customizing the Agenda: You’ll have the opportunity to play an active part in shaping the agenda for this session – and to maximize its relevance for you – by suggesting and selecting topics for break-out discussions. This will be a highly interactive session so come prepared to share your questions, challenges and insights!
