Description

The health and safety of our members is the UWEBC’s top priority. UW–Madison is monitoring the COVID-19 situation in collaboration with local, state and federal agencies. Based on campus' guidance, this meeting will be held via web only to allow our members a convenient and safe way to attend.

Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP) is a systematic process for envisioning an organization's future workforce and designing the most effective practices and policies to build the workforce in alignment with the overall business strategy. Considering the plethora of workforce challenges that organizations are currently facing, including critical skills shortages, aging workforce and evolving business models, SWP is critical for continued business success. In this HR Executives SIG event, you will have an exceptional opportunity to learn from subject matter experts and peer HR leaders regarding effective frameworks and leading practices for SWP.

The program will feature Karen Guzicki, a faculty member for the Human Capital Institute, who has extensive experience in creating and executing on SWP and leadership development strategy. In her insightful presentation, you will learn

  • The context for SWP in an uncertain and dynamic business environment
  • The Human Capital Institute's proven framework for SWP
  • Case studies highlighting SWP best practices of high performing organizations

We will then engage in an interactive executive panel discussion with HR leaders from four UWEBC member companies (Ashley HomeStore/Furniture & ApplianceMart, GE Healthcare, NeuGen, Rexnord Corporation) who will share their organization's approach and methods for SWP and associated challenges and opportunities.

Be sure to attend this exclusive event and take away practical ideas to enhance your organization's SWP efforts!
