Description

The health and safety of our members is the UWEBC’s top priority. UW–Madison is monitoring the COVID-19 situation in collaboration with local, state and federal agencies. Based on campus' guidance, this meeting will be held via web only to allow our members a convenient and safe way to attend.

Indirect procurement teams have historically been structured in various ways, from centralized to decentralized. They have reported into Finance, Legal, or Operations, and have included capabilities that vary from sourcing, negotiations, contract management, vendor management, and even PO creation.

  • When is the last time your team evaluated its indirect procurement structure?
  • Do you know why it was historically organized this way, and do those strategies still hold true today?
  • Is now the right time to re-evaluate what a successful indirect procurement operating model looks like at your company given the challenges and shifts brought on by the pandemic?

This meeting will focus on learning about different operating models for indirect procurement, understanding why different models work for different companies, and will allow participants to discuss the benefits and challenges of their own structure with other indirect procurement leaders.

Participate in Networking and Benchmarking: You’ll have the opportunity to play an active part in shaping the agenda for this session – and to maximize its relevance for you – by suggesting and selecting topics for break-out discussions.
