This month we are excited to feature one of our primary liaisons Maureen Lewandowski, Vice President, Claim Operations at Delta Dental of Wisconsin. She has been an active member of UWEBC since 2018, when Delta Dental joined the consortium.
To Maureen, being a primary liaison means she has the responsibility to help encourage others in the organization to leverage what UWEBC has to offer. “The mix of peer groups offered by UWEBC allow numerous areas of our company to take advantage of the different learning opportunities and apply them throughout the organization.”
“What I really like about UWEBC is that all of the participants are so willing to share information when you’ve got a question or a business problem you’re trying to solve. I really appreciate that willingness and the friendly collaboration with fellow UWEBC members.”
Having been a member of the UWEBC for the past four years, Maureen’s favorite events are the annual conferences. She loves these events because of the high-level expert speakers who are brought in to talk. She believes the information presented is beneficial and helps her and other attendees from Delta Dental to gain knowledge that they can take back to use as learning and growth opportunities.
Something Maureen and her team are working on is the voice of customer – making sure they are hearing and listening to what their customers really want and need, and then taking action to improve the overall customer experience.
In her field of customer service, a growing trend Maureen sees is the expansion of digital options for customer interactions. This has been a focus at Delta Dental, putting more emphasis on interacting with customers in the way they prefer to be communicated with.
As an avid traveler, you can find Maureen going on spontaneous adventures. Fun fact, on a trip to Africa, she got to be in a shark cage that was tethered to a boat. It’s not every day that you hear about such a venturesome experience!
We thank Maureen for her active participation in and contributions to UWEBC over the past four years. We can’t wait to further grow our collaboration in the near future!
