Wisconsin Digital Symposium

The Wisconsin Digital Symposium is back—and this year, it’s part of something bigger.

On June 1, UWEBC will bring technology, data, and digital leaders together at Lambeau Field in Green Bay for a reimagined Digital Symposium, co-located with the Wisconsin Drives Manufacturing Summit taking place the very next day.

This year’s Symposium focuses on how organizations are operationalizing digital capabilities—from data and AI to platforms, analytics, intelligent products, and automation—to drive measurable outcomes across the enterprise and ecosystem. Rather than big-picture hype, the program emphasizes what’s actually working: how teams are scaling digital initiatives, aligning technology with business priorities, and enabling collaboration between technology, data, operations, and executive leadership.

Attendees can expect practical insights, peer-driven conversations, and examples grounded in real organizational challenges. Whether you’re modernizing legacy systems, embedding AI into workflows, or strengthening the digital foundation that supports manufacturing and operations, the Symposium is designed to meet you where you are—and help you move forward.

Keynote Speakers

Áine Denari

Position title: Executive Vice President and President, Navico Group, and Brunswick Chief Technology Officer

Address:
Áine leads Brunswick’s technology strategy across one of the most complex product ecosystems in manufacturing. Before Brunswick, she spent a decade at ZF AG leading autonomous driving systems, and held strategy roles at McKinsey, Bain, and Ford. She brings 25+ years of experience bridging automotive-grade AI, manufacturing operations, and consumer product innovation.

Phil Gilbert

Position title: Author of Irresistible Change, Former Head of Design at IBM, Keynote speaker and executive advisor

Address:
Phil spent a decade bringing design thinking to IBM’s 400,000 employees — a transformation documented in a Harvard Business School case study and the documentary The Loop. Now he advises CEOs and CHROs on applying that same playbook to AI-era organizational change. His core insight: the team, not the individual, is the atomic unit of transformation.

Graphic Recording

Live graphic recording is a signature element of UWEBC events, capturing key ideas and insights from the program in real time through visual storytelling. This year’s graphic recording will be brought to life by Sherrill Knezel, founder of Meaningful Marks LLC, a Milwaukee-based graphic recorder, illustrator, and visual literacy educator. Sherrill partners with nonprofits, educators, and corporate organizations to translate complex conversations into clear, engaging visuals that deepen understanding and spark connection.

Her work creates lasting artifacts that attendees often photograph, share, and revisit long after the event, extending the impact of the experience well beyond the day itself.

Wisconsin Manufacturing Summit

New this year:
UWEBC members who register for the Wisconsin Digital Symposium will receive a complimentary pass to the Wisconsin Drives Manufacturing Summit innovation showcase on June 1 and summit proceedings on June 2. Together, these events create a seamless, two-day experience to explore how digital strategy and manufacturing excellence intersect.

The Wisconsin Digital Symposium will take place on June 1 in Green Bay, setting the stage for two days of learning, connection, and cross-industry collaboration.

The Wisconsin Drives Manufacturing Summit is a statewide collaboration bringing together higher education, technical colleges, economic development organizations, and industry leaders. Hosted at Lambeau Field, the Summit convenes a diverse network of partners working to strengthen Wisconsin’s manufacturing ecosystem and drive innovation forward.

At the Manufacturing Summit, join industry leaders, researchers, and policymakers for an energizing summit at Lambeau Field to:

  • Explore new frontiers in manufacturing
  • Shape the manufacturing workforce of the future
  • Boost impact on the WI economy

10:30 am: Keynote: Applying Transformation Principles to AI
Phil Gilbert, Author of Irresistible Change, Former Head of Design at IBM
The playbook that transformed IBM’s culture through design thinking — applied to the AI era.
