Description

The health and safety of our members is the UWEBC’s top priority. UW–Madison is monitoring the COVID-19 situation in collaboration with local, state and federal agencies. Based on campus' guidance, the May 20 Agile IT Special Interest Group meeting will be held via web only to allow our members a convenient and safe way to attend.

A foundational value of the Agile manifesto is “individuals and interactions over processes and tools.” A high-performing agile team delivers exceptional results, irrespective of the challenges they encounter. Such teams are often admired and respected across the organization because they exceed customers’ and management’s expectations repeatedly. Building such a team however needs considerable investment of time and energy. Creating an empowered, high-trust, high-performing team needs a management and leadership approach that values each employee and how s/he contributes towards a shared vision. Cultivating a team that has both accountability and ownership while sharing a culture based on trust, respect and a passion for delivering value requires supportive and inspiring leaders. The next iteration of the Agile IT Special Interest Group will examine how to build and sustain such teams.

Please join your peers from across Wisconsin to share, explore and learn how to more effectively promote Agility within your own organization. This will be an exceptional networking and learning opportunity for Agile practitioners, coaches, team leads and IT leaders with responsibilities in program, product and platform management.
