Description
The health and safety of our members is the UWEBC’s top priority. UW–Madison is monitoring the COVID-19 situation in collaboration with local, state and federal agencies. Based on campus' guidance, this meeting will be held via web only to allow our members a convenient and safe way to attend.
Filling open warehouse labor positions is still a challenge and has been magnified by COVID-19. Whether throughput has been affected by increased sick-outs, social distancing requirements, transportation partners no-showing or arriving late, the pressure on warehouse staffing continues to be immense. One thought to alleviate that pressure is a move to automation.
This meeting will address what to look for when submitting an RFI for an automation project, choosing an automation solution and integration partner, and how to assess the ROI of the project and ensure budget and throughput target are met. We will have a panel of UWEBC members discussing their wins and pitfalls along the process as well as having Kuecker Logistics take us through an live demo of Autostore.
If you are considering a new automation project or refine your current automated flow, consider attending this meeting to see how others are tackling the automaton challenge.
