Description

What's NOT new in 2022 when it comes to trade compliance?

  • As supplier shortages and delays have become more prevalent, many companies have added new suppliers at a rapid pace. How are trade compliance professionals keeping up with documentation requirements for these new suppliers, and working proactively with sourcing teams to minimize risk without slowing down the supply chain?
  • Forced labor continues to (rightly) get more attention, as more companies are looking to update their Code of Conduct statement with specific actions their organizations are taking.
  • Sanctions are changing frequently, with trade compliance professionals accountable to execute these updates in their organizations.

We will be joined by Jessica Libby, Principal at KPMG Trade & Customs, to examine what's new in trade compliance in 2022, and what best practices she is recommending to her clients. We will also have small group breakout sessions to discuss how each of us collaborates with sourcing and logistics teams to clarify trade compliance needs, and share related processes and systems/forms used.

Participate in Customizing the Agenda: You’ll have the opportunity to play an active part in shaping the agenda for this session – and to maximize its relevance for you – by suggesting and selecting topics for break-out discussions. Once the agenda is complete, you choose the discussions you want to join. This will be a highly interactive session so come prepared to share your questions, challenges and insights!
