PeopleLeadership and Change Management

Technology and AI Enabled Change Initiatives

Accelerating Adoption and Transforming the Modern Organization

In an era where innovation has shifted from a linear to an exponential curve, organizations are facing five times more change per person than they did a decade ago. This creates a "Transformation Paradox": as the demand for change explodes, the human capacity to absorb and manage it remains flat or shrinking. This session explores how to bridge this gap by building an AI-augmented Transformation Office that combines machine intelligence with resilient, human-centered leadership.

Description

The Presentation
Led by change management luminary Aric Wood, a seasoned transformation leader and author of The Strategy Activation Playbook, this session draws on recent research from his latest guide, "Leveraging AI to Scale Change & Transformation." Wood will demonstrate how resource-constrained teams can leverage 21 practical ways to expand change capacity without increasing headcount.

Joining him are Doug Barton, Director of the UWEBC, and Jennifer Anderson, UWEBC Practice Director in Residence. Jennifer is a recognized thought leader on transformation and organizational change, inspiring leaders to execute strategy with clarity, focus and resilience. As a consultant and executive coach, she guides organizations to adapt and thrive by developing conscious leaders to create high-performing teams and intentional, human-centered culture. With a background in organizational behavior and extensive experience as a mind-body practitioner, Jennifer brings a unique blend of science and wisdom to her work. She is the Founder of Resilience, LLC and a Co-Active coach.

Key Concepts and Frameworks
The session focuses on the Four Dimensions of AI Leverage, providing a roadmap for integrating AI into the heart of transformation work:
  • Insight Generation: Using AI for automated diagnostics and sentiment analysis to understand stakeholder needs deeper and faster.
  • Activation Amplification: Moving beyond one-size-fits-all communications to personalized, contextualized change journeys and micro-coaching.
  • Execution Efficiency: Reducing administrative friction through automated workflows, project tracking, and real-time dashboards.
  • Capability Expansion: Building a continuous learning engine that captures institutional knowledge and supports just-in-time coaching.
Learning Outcomes
Participants will leave this session equipped to:
  • Navigate the Transformation Paradox by shifting from labor-intensive to insight-intensive models.
  • Amplify "Power Skills" such as strategic thinking, empathy, and meaning-making, which remain uniquely human and are essential for leading-by-example.
  • Integrate AI and Resilience to create a self-improving transformation loop where culture acts as the catalyst and AI acts as the amplifier.
