Research has demonstrated a strong correlation between human capital development ROI and overall organizational performance. Most organizations today have almost exclusively focused on innovation and new market development, often at the cost of investing on human capital development. The goal should instead be to build and retain an engaged, creative and innovative workforce that can continuously evolve and add value to the organization. The most innovative companies today invest heavily on their employee development, realizing that retained employees prevent brain drain, increase speed of execution, improve overall experiences, and are also able to capitalize on existing and evolving skills to drive value. Creating such a learning organization however needs significant foresight, planning and investments.
The June IT Peer Group will offer you a chance to hear a diverse set of presenters sharing ideas and experiences on how best to develop and evolve a learning organization. While digital learning platforms and MOOCS have become the bulwark of organizational learning, developing the technology skill sets required to continuously deliver value should begin with a cohesive strategy that maps closely to the technology roadmap the organization seeks to evolve. At this meeting we will strive to examine the most effective strategies to develop human capital that meets the near-term and future technology demands of the organization.
