Dr. Raj Veeramani is the E-Business Chair Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison with joint appointments in the College of Engineering and the School of Business. He is the Executive Director of the campus-wide UW E-Business Institute and UW E-Business Consortium, which is Wisconsin's leading university-industry partnership helping industry gain competitive advantage through digital business strategies and best practices. He is also the Founding Director of the UW Internet of Things (IoT) Systems Research Center, a hub for university-industry partnership focused on research, innovation and collaborative learning of IoT and industrial analytics.

Dr. Veeramani is an internationally recognized scholar, educator and business advisor. His expertise runs deep in several areas: digital business strategy, smart and connected systems, supply chain management, and building customer-centered organizations. His research focuses on new frontiers of digital transformation, industrial data analytics, IoT technologies and applications, smart and connected systems, and supply chain management. Dr. Veeramani is recognized for his practical, real-world perspective. His work has embodied active collaboration with leading companies in a variety of industries.

Dr. Veeramani has received numerous awards in recognition of his work from the university, the National Science Foundation and several professional societies. Dr. Veeramani's efforts and contributions to foster university-industry collaboration have also been recognized by former Wisconsin Governors Tommy Thompson, Scott McCallum, Jim Doyle and Scott Walker.

As the Director, Doug Barton leads the UWEBC team to implement strategies to achieve operational excellence. He also oversees the development of new and expanded ways to serve our members' evolving needs for talent and organizational capability development, including leveraging the synergies between UWEBC and other UW-Madison campus units.

With more than 30 years of experience, Doug brings a diverse background working with and leading mission-driven and values-rich companies, including senior leadership positions at UBIX.AI and IBM.

Doug has spoken at industry and IBM conferences around the globe and local venues on topics ranging from design thinking, entrepreneurship, disruptive technology and innovation.

Doug holds a BA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MBA from Kellogg at Northwestern University.

As the Membership and Corporate Sales Director, Beth oversees the planning and execution of strategies for the consortium's growth and development, as well as member engagement in UWEBC offerings. Beth has a wealth of knowledge and managerial experience across multiple industries including finance, insurance, supply chain software and telecommunications. Prior to joining the UWEBC, Beth was the Manager of Alternate Channels at TDS Telecom, where she was responsible for the development of the company's alternate residential sales channels on a national level.

Beth holds an MBA degree from Cardinal Stritch University and a BA in Business Management from Alverno College, with a minor in Computer Science.

As the Director of Practice Area Development, Roger supports our Practice Directors in various strategic initiatives. He also serves as the project lead on several member and employee experience improvement projects.

Roger brings over 15 years of diverse business experience to the UWEBC, including eight years as the top marketing and sales leader for an architectural coatings manufacturer and four years as a project consultant for a customer satisfaction measurement firm. His professional background also includes serving for four years as a facilitator for the Minnesota CEO Roundtables and Wisconsin Small Business Development Center's PeerSpectives programs. Both are innovative organizations that facilitate business improvement by providing experience-sharing forums for CEOs and presidents.

Roger holds an MBA in management from the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis, a BA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a Supply Chain Leadership Certificate from UW-Madison School of Business Executive Education and a Certified Marketing Executive (CME) accreditation conferred by Sales and Marketing Executives International.

Matthew Cone leads the UWEBC's Customer Service practice area.

Matthew has spent his career working with teams to deliver amazing customer experiences with a focus on collaboration and the strength of diversity. Matthew comes most recently from 15 years with Apple, supporting teams in both B2B and B2C sales, and technical services in the technology industry. Matthew has also leveraged skills in training, coaching, and development, all necessary competencies that resonate with many of our member companies in the current CX landscape. Matthew graduated with a BS in Management from Cardinal Stritch University.

Jenny is an experienced cross-functional team leader and 20+ year supply chain veteran. She has a passion for data transparency, solving supply chain problems, and promoting a team culture of collaboration and continuous learning. Jenny spent seventeen years at Target Corporation in various supply chain roles including Inventory Management, International and Domestic Logistics, Global Trade Compliance, Data Product Management, and Supply Chain Program Management. She then moved back to Wisconsin as Director of Strategic Initiatives for RateLinx, a logistics software development company where she helped customers reduce freight costs and improve Ship, Track and Pay data visibility. Jenny graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is also a Licensed Customs Broker.

As the IT Practice Director, Heidi Rozmiarek leads the technology practice of the UWEBC. She works with member companies to ensure education, research, and advisory service offerings are aligned with the needs of the membership. Heidi brings over 20 years of experience helping companies achieve operational success by leveraging technology and data through her work in consulting and senior leadership positions in software development, data management, and enterprise applications. Heidi's diverse background includes extensive experience in the healthcare industry, where she spent over a decade leading technology and analytics initiatives for healthcare providers, insurers, and life sciences companies.

Heidi holds an MBA from the University of South Dakota, a BS in Computer Science, Marketing, and Finance from Morningside University, and a Master's Certificate in Accounting from Edgewood College.

As an Events Coordinator, Pema is responsible for making sure the UWEBC events are well planned, executed and meet the participants' satisfaction level.

Pema brings over 14 years of experience, working in a multicultural environment with diverse roles distinguished through commended performance and proven results. She has worked primarily in the Education and Training sector. 11 years of her career span has been with CRISIL Limited (an S&P Global Company) in its Executive Training Division, working in different capacities, the last being Manager for its open-enrollment training programs. Her work contributions were well recognized, and she has been a recipient of CRISIL Corporate Award several times for her excellence in business development and performance. Prior to joining UWEBC, she also worked with the Dane County Clerk's Office in Madison.

Pema holds an MBA degree from Panjab University and a B.Com from Delhi University.

Taryn Johnson brings more than nine years of marketing and communication experience to the UWEBC. Taryn has a background in digital marketing, web design and project management. Prior to joining the UWEBC, she served as a communications project specialist for the Madison Metropolitan School District, assisting school staff in the strategy and production of a variety of communication materials for their students and families.

Taryn has a BA in Communication Arts and Spanish from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
