The UWEBC, in collaboration with InitiativeOne Leadership Institute, is proud to present Leading In Turbulent Times: A Master Class* on Leadership Foundations to Prevent Burnout and Improve Employee Retention. We are excited to bring InitiativeOne’s renowned national program, exclusively to the UWEBC network. UWEBC membership is not required to participate.
Call it what you will – the Great Resignation, Great Reshuffle or Great Dissatisfaction – we have heard from nearly every organization in the UWEBC community that they are contending with the most challenging employee retention and engagement environment they have ever experienced. The people we entrust with employee leadership roles have a huge influence on how this challenge plays out in our organizations, but are not exempt from it themselves. Recent Gallup research found that managers – those most responsible for team performance, engagement, and retention – are even likelier than the people they manage to experience burnout.
The Leadership Foundations Master Class will provide an unparalleled opportunity to learn strategies and methods people leaders can employ to build a high-trust environment that improves employee engagement, decision-making, problem-solving and performance while also mitigating the factors that can lead to leader burnout.
Following two, full-day in-person classroom sessions, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in three virtual collaborative learning sessions with classmates, facilitated by UWEBC Practice Director Jenny Patzlaff, to share and discuss experiences around applying the methods and processes learned in the class.
By participating in this class, you will:
- Deepen your understanding of yourself and others – you’ll take the PDP ProScan® leadership assessment and have a 30-minute personalized consultation about your assessment results before classroom instruction begins
- Understand the dynamics of your team culture
- Improve Emotional Intelligence – leverage self-awareness and social awareness toward better decision-making and problem-solving
- Identify specific behaviors to target for continued improvement in problem-solving and decision-making
- Fortify learning via facilitated experience-sharing and discussion with fellow participants after completion of classroom sessions
