UWEBC Featured Member: Anne Norman from UW Credit Union

This month, we are excited to feature Anne Norman, Senior Chief Marketing and Product Strategy Officer at UW Credit Union! We spoke with her and got an insight into what she and her team are up to, what they like about UWEBC events, and how you can take some things she has learned and put them into practice for your company.

 

What Anne is working on:

In her field of marketing, Anne shares that the most significant trend she is seeing in the banking industry is the creation of apps for consumers. She noted that it is all about making the app usable and beautiful. They are looking for ways to help their members know how they spend their money. Anne explains that consumers’ expectations are growing, and companies must keep up with those expectations.

 

How Anne and her team benefit from UWEBC:

Anne loves taking full advantage of her UWEBC membership to further her and her team’s goals. She loves how, in her role at UW Credit Union, three of the five UWEBC practice areas provide her team immense value.

One of Anne’s favorite events is the UWEBC Annual Conference because of the fantastic networking opportunities and speakers. Another event that really stuck out to her was the Qualtrics XM Institute Boot Camp, because she said there were some amazing sessions, and she was introduced to new information and experts. She loved how she could collaborate with like-minded people, compare notes, and connect with people in her network.

 

A tip from Anne on how YOU can get the most out of your UWEBC membership:

As a UWEBC primary liaison for UW Credit Union, Anne’s goal is to ensure the company’s awareness of all the opportunities UWEBC offers its members. To increase awareness and utilization of UWEBC learning events, she found it helpful to assign a track lead where that person has the opportunity to take full advantage of events and share upcoming events within their department. She found this empowering to her track leaders and other team members.

Although Anne is busy as a hardworking professional, she loves spending time with her family and taking camping trips. She grew up camping and enjoys introducing her kids to it. Many people are surprised about this fact because it is generally not comfy or clean, but she loves being in nature and seeing her kids embrace it.
